My Last Days in Alaska..... Let's make them Grand!

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. - Morpheus

I think this quote is right on target with exchange, and I will tell you why (if you haven't seen the Matrix, go brush up on a summary)

It seems to relate to that last moment, when the airplane door has closed and you are taxiing for takeoff, that your choice is final, and there is no reversing the effects of the red pill.  Exchange is also like the matrix.  People can try to prepare you all they can, tell you what is going to happen, but nothing can prepare you for the real thing. Nothing.

That is the end of my 'Theology of the Matrix'... I'll be getting on with my post.

The 11 day mark has been reached, and time is ticking before saying my last goodbyes on August 8th.

Yesterday, I picked out my seats for the flights from Anchorage to Hamburg (I have 4 of them)  I managed to get aisle seats in the first few rows on the US flights, and I have a seat on the Philli to Frankfurt chosen, but I have no idea if I will be adhering to it with the 30-some other exchange students on the same flight.

My insurance paperwork also returned to me yesterday, good thing to have, not going to elaborate.

Hoping to do some more hiking before I leave, if you have a trail in mind, hit me up!

Right now, I am just a little TOOO excited to write coherrently.  Time to get back to that Mt. Everest like mound that appeared in my suitcase.
