The Joys of Writing in Deutsch.

Here is my update continued in English.

My German has been going very well.  In a futile attempt to learn the language more quickly, I have changed the language on many of my frequented sites (Yahoo, Facebook, Blogger etc;) to "Deutsch".  But since I have grown so accustomed to clicking certain buttons to post, check my email, and search, it doesn't seem to be having much impact.

I have also found that most American made movies do not come dubbed in Deutsch or with subtitles.  Whenever my parents go shopping for movies, I have started obsessively checking to see if it comes with any German language alternatives, so far, I haven't found anything, but I will continue searching.

Yesterday, I gave a presentation on Germany to my Rotary club, I was very nervous, and messed up many times, but managed to get the message across.  Many applauded my effort, which I am very thankful for.  Before I left the meeting, I was told that I would have to learn to give the presentation in GERMAN!  Looks like much studying is in my future.

Rosetta Stone is going smoothly, and I am almost finished with Level 1.  My goal is to finish four levels before departure.  If I keep up at this pace, this goal should be in my reach.

I still have not received any word from my host family or host club.  If you know me well, you know I am not a very patient person, so this problem is nothing to fret over.  I have faith that my host club in being as efficient as possible to get my application through.

If you wish to know how anything exchange related is going, leave me a comment, I will try to answer it as best as I can.

Auf Wiedersehen Völker!

Danke for Reading!
