| Boosting Arthur to see the race. |
Much has happened in the past weeks. Starting on a high note, after a four hour Rosetta Stone marathon, I finished the first level. I have already started on level Two, which so far is going great. Level 3 and 4 are in the mail, and should be arriving in the next few weeks.
Later that week, Arthur and I went to the Iditarod with his host dad. Throughout the day,we watched the race start, attended a flash mob, met other inbounds, looked at all the ice sculptures in Downtown Anchorage, went to a native arts display, a homeowners show, and the running of the rheindeer. We had tons of fun, and it was a very memorable experience.

The next day, my dad and I went shopping for a laptop that I could use on my exchange. We ended up buying a cute little Toshiba that I am writing this blog post on. This computer will be very useful in the coming months.
Thursday, I got an email from Germany. My first thought was that it was contact from my host club, but it turned out to be something different. When I opened the email, it was an invite from a Rotary hub in Germany asking me to create an account on their website. They told me that it was not an official acceptance of any sort, instead they told me that they have received my long-form, and wanted me to put some information onto their server.

Friday, my Swiss friend that is currently exchanging in Whitehorse, YT, told me that she the OK from her YEO that she can stay in Eagle River for a day or two on her way to Barrow, AK. I am very exited by this, and we are in the process of filling out the forms for my family to "host" her. 21 more days.
I finally got the German movies that I ordered in the mail. I still haven't gotten around to watching them, but it something currently on my to-do list.
Overall, the last two weeks have been very exiting, I am currently awaiting more information from abroad. Time to go check my email again....... :-)
