Foreign High School School!

Yes, the title is pretty self explanatory... I have found out the school I will be attending full time while abroad in Germany.

The equivalent to an American high-school is a Gymnasium (pronounced gim nas EE um) in Germany.  I will be attending Gymnasium Oedeme in Lüneburg, a few minutes from my first host families house.  Naturally the fist thing I did after getting the name of my host school was Google it.  I came up with a few pictures and a website.

The school has about 1200 students from the ages of 11-20.

Here are some pictures:

And here is the school logo.
If I find out more about the school, or classes I will be taking, I will be sure to post!

On another note:

I have also been informed of my YEO in Germany.  Her name is Inga, and belongs to the Lueneburg Rotary Club, and, I have finished Rosetta Stone Level 2.  I am currently working on level 3, and have hopes to finish Level 4 before I leave.

Although none of this is 100% in stone.  Since I still have not received the guarantee forms back in the mail yet, there is still a small chance that they can switch me around and move me someplace else.

Hopefully, everything will work out.  Prayers that it does!

Thanks For Reading!

  1. Your school is so pretty!!! I think Germany has a thing for hiding schools behind trees and shrubbery. Mine is Kant-Gymnasium Spandau. You can see the entrance and part of the tower from the street and the rest his hidden. lol.
