We Got a Host Distrikt Over Here!!!

Grüße von Alaska!  Sarah hier mit die neueste Informationen auf mein Schüleraustausch!

For those of you who haven’t heard yet, I was just accepted by Rotary Disrtikt 1800.  The distrikt is in the center of the country, slightly to the Northern area.  It is the location of one of the larger cities in Deutschland: Hannover.  It is also the largest distrikt in Germany!

Instead of first contact being from a host family, it was from the Inbound Coordinator.  He said that my Guarantee forms are still being processed, and once they are sent back, I can make contact with my first host family!  My hands are still shaking from the excitement.

Now, all I have to wait for host clubs/cities/families…  easier said than done.

I have made a decision that for all the next blog updates, I will either post a few sentences in Deutsch or post the entire blog entry in German AND English.  For all of you wanting more German language practice, my Inbound Coordinator (IN GERMANY!!!!!) gave me a link for a free, online language learning program that was made by Germans… can’t get much better than that!  I will post the link in my actual blog, the link can be found at the bottom of this post.

On an Exchange homework related note, I have started my PowerPoint on my life in Alaska.  I also will be heading over to Costco and getting all the pictures for my presentation printed out.  I am also *almost* done with Rosetta Stone: Deutsch- Level 2.  I will admit, I have been slacking slightly, with the Exit Exam that happened just recently, I haven’t had much time to practice German.  I will tell you that now I am back on track and working hard on my Deutsch.

So that is all I have to say for now.

Danke für Lesen!!!!

Auf Weidersehen!!!!
