The Polar Plunge: Part 1

The newest "It wouldn't be happening if it weren't for exchange"event has come to light.  It's called the Polar Plunge!   I have chosen to jump into freezing water to benefit The Wasilla Food Bank in Wasilla, Alaska.  In order to jump though, I will need help.  I have to have $100 is pledges before February 18th.  $40 has already been pledged.  If you would like to help me out, here is the link to the Polar Plunge Pledge Page.  I am about halfway down the list under Sarah Elizabeth Boelter.

If I don't get $100 in pledges, I can't jump.

Every dollar helps :)  If you would like to do a bit more research about the Polar Plunge, the link to the main page is here.

If I I end up jumping, photo's of the plunge will be posted on this blog.

I'm willing to take the plunge, but are you willing to help me???

Update 2/13: Hey all,  I am up to 60 DOLLARS!!!   Thank You to all who have pledged for me to jump!!   I am so exited!  Now to go make a costume for the plunge..... Any ideas? One friend suggested to dress up like a penguin!!

Update 2/15: Guess What!!! I got all the donations for the Polar Plunge!  I have to thank everyone who helped me including: Sara Zwink, Deacon Lee, Sondra Kaplan, Angelica Rubina, and Martie Krohn.  For all you locals, The event is this Saturday (February 19th) at the Palmer Elks Lodge.  Plunging starts at 11am.  See you there!
