I'm finally getting around to answering these questions, I'm also going to post photos of the last weeks at the end.
1.I'm going to AK in a few days to visit my host family, what should I do during that time in there? Where should I go, any ideas?
Lucas, I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to this until now, and you are probably enjoying all the snow in Alaska, but I have to remind you, you need to go to visit the Wasilla Rotary club (as IF I need to tell you that :D) Have fun visiting everybody!
2. Hi, ive been reading your blog for a awhile. im going to germany this year! i have a question about german food. what do people eat normally?
 |
| I even took a picture of my breakfast yesterday for you :) |
People generally eat quite healthily, most of the food is BIO, and there are limits to the amounts of preservatives and artificial colors and flavors allowed in most foods. Generally people will have fresh German bread (it is VERY differn't) for breakfast, or a sort of mix between oatmeal and granolla called 'mussli'. At school, people generally bring small sandwiches, and eat them throughout the day, and then eat in the cafeteria later. Dinner varies, but usually people eat pasta, salad, and other more 'normal' dinner foods in the evening. It's also not uncommon to see a 'coffee and cake' meal slipped in between lunch and dinner.
3. have you worn one of those dresses that german girls wear to october fest?
I live in the North, although we celebrate Oktoberfest, Munich is where the party is located. Not as many people dress up (although they probably drink an equal amount of beer :) )... the north has Carnival :D
4.I have a couple questions. When are you going back to the US, and what kind of bags do they use for school. How many photos do you take a month? Will a normal backpack work, or is there like some style. (i'm from B.C. so I think I have simmilar styles like where your from)
I will go back to the US sometime in mid-July. Usually a normal messenger style bag will work for school (eastpack, dankine or something simmilar)
